2010 Firestone Master Contractor Award


Mike Vall, President of Firestone Building Products presents the 2010 Firestone Master Contractor Award to Dan Pope, Vice President of Statesville Roofing & Building Restoration.

Statesville Roofing & Building Restoration recently earned a Firestone Master Contractor Award for 2010. This is the 15th time the Statesville-based company has received this distinctive designation.

“We value our strong partnership with Statesville Roofing & Building Restoration and admire the outstanding workmanship and dedication they have demonstrated,” said Mike Vall, President of Firestone Building Products.

“It’s an honor to once again be recognized by Firestone,” said Dan Pope, Vice President of Statesville Roofing & Building Restoration. “To earn designation as a Master Contractor for the 15th time is a testament to our team’s consistent focus on quality.”

Master Contractor status is annually awarded by Firestone based on total square footage installed, and Quality Points accumulated for exceptional inspection ratings on Firestone Red SheildTM warranted RubberGardTM EPDM, UltraPlyTM TPO, UNA-CLADTM metal and asphalt roofing system installations completed last year.

February 8, 2010 – Statesville Roofing & Building Restoration was recently awarded special recognition by the Carolinas Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (CRSMCA) in appreciation for the company’s membership of more than 50 years.
 
“Our company has been a member of the CRSMCA since 1944, and I’m proud that Statesville Roofing & Building Restoration was recognized for our longevity and commitment to providing quality services for our customers,” said Dan Pope, Vice President of Statesville Roofing & Building Restoration.
 
Since 1943, CRSMCA has worked to promote and safeguard the common business interests of its members through education, public advocacy, programs and services, and providing a forum for networking. CRSMCA is affiliated with the National Roofing Contractors Association.


New Vegetative Roof Certification

What Can Chickens Teach Us About Cool Roofing?
Statesville Roofing & Building Restoration worked with ERSystems and North Carolina State University to evaluate cool roofing technology and its effects on poultry production. The study compared two chicken houses, one using a cool roofing system and one that did not. The temperature had to be maintained at or below 85 degrees in both houses. The results showed an energy savings of just under 65% in the cool roof house. To learn more about the study, click here.
