Exterior building cleaning removes dirt, carbon, biological growth, efflorescence and staining from masonry, stone, precast, metal panels and roofs using low-pressure washing and substrate-appropriate cleaners. Done correctly, it protects the surface; done with high pressure, it damages it. Statesville Roofing cleans commercial exteriors across North Carolina as part of WeatherReady™ envelope care.
A dirty facade is not just cosmetic. Biological growth holds moisture against masonry, carbon deposits attack stone, and algae on a white roof cuts its reflectivity and energy savings.
Our crews clean as restoration contractors, not pressure-washing generalists. That means the right cleaner for the substrate, low pressure that will not blow out mortar joints, and protection for windows, sealants and landscaping.

Exterior Building Cleaning questions, answered
Is pressure washing safe for brick?
High pressure is not. It erodes mortar joints and the brick face. We use low pressure with appropriate cleaners, which is safer and more effective.
Should I clean my roof?
Yes, if it is a reflective membrane. Algae and dirt reduce reflectivity and energy savings. Cleaning also lets our technicians inspect the surface.
Do you clean before sealing or coating?
Always. Sealers and coatings require a clean, sound surface to bond. Cleaning is the first step of those projects.
